Raffle App Privacy Policy

A legal disclaimer

This Privacy Policy describes how Black Light Bash, a DBA of Venue 185 LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information you provide when purchasing raffle tickets at our events and opting in to receive SMS notifications.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you purchase raffle tickets at a Black Light Bash event and choose to receive SMS notifications, we may collect:

  • Your first and last name

  • Your mobile phone number

  • Ticket purchase details (raffle name, ticket numbers, amount paid, date)

  • Your SMS opt-in consent status and timestamp

We do not collect payment card information. All payments are handled in person at the event.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

  • Sending you SMS confirmation of your raffle ticket numbers after purchase

  • Notifying you via SMS if you win a raffle draw

  • Maintaining records of raffle sales for event administration

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the raffle event you attended.

3. SMS MESSAGING

By replying YES to our opt-in text message, you consent to receive SMS notifications from Black Light Bash related to your raffle ticket purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.

Message frequency varies — typically 1–2 messages per raffle event you participate in. Once you reply STOP, we will not send you any further SMS messages.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • SMS delivery: Your phone number is shared with Twilio, our SMS service provider, solely to deliver messages you have consented to receive. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy

  • Legal requirements: If required by law or legal process

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your information is stored securely in Google Firebase, a cloud database service provided by Google LLC. Firebase uses industry-standard encryption and security practices. We retain your information only as long as necessary for event administration purposes.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Request deletion of your personal information

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued participation in our events after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
